Some of the BP_TOW fam is heading over to the historic Montalban  in Los Angeles tomorrow to check out what Nike and the Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao have to offer before his fight against Miguel Cotto next weekend.

Nike Sportswear is giving a behind the scenes look at the P4P and his training in the city of angels. Manny, his trainer Freddy Roach, plenty of celebs and a whole bunch of fans will be out there in the California sunshine. So will me and Beans!!

New Mexico women’s soccer defender Elizabeth Lambert has been suspended indefinitely after engaging in rough play — including hauling an opposing player to the ground by her pony tail — in the Lobos’ 1-0 loss to BYU in the Mountain West Conference semifinals. Lambert is prohibited from taking part in practices, games and conditioning, coach Kit Vela announced Friday.

“Liz is a quality student-athlete, but in this instance her actions clearly crossed the line of fair play and good sportsmanship,” Vela said.

Head over to Victoria’s Secret All Access (yeah, I know I’m twisting your arm) to vote for our boy Sacha Kljestan’s girlfriend, Jamie Lee Darley.

The 23 year old is one of 10 women (out of over 5,000 that went to the casting session) competing for the chance to walk in the Victoria’s Secret - Angel Runway Show on December 1st.  Voting starts on Monday at 3pm Eastern.

It must be feisty female day on the TOW, because we have another dustup…

News out of the UK is that Miss England Rachel Christie has given up her crown after being arrested on suspicion of a nightclub assault!!

Organizers of Miss England said the 21-year-old wanted to concentrate on clearing her name. She allegedly punched Miss Manchester, Sara Beverley Jones, 24, in the face in a dispute at a Manchester nightclub.

Ms Christie, the first black woman to be crowned Miss England, was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until January 2010. The beauty queen, niece of former sprinter Linford Christie, is also a heptathlete hoping to compete in the 2012 Olympics.
