Rutgerus Johannes Martinus “Ruud” van Nistelrooij, the second-highest goalscorer in Champions League history with 60 goals announced that he is retiring from football. He is a three-time Champions League top scorer, as well as a top scorer in three different European domestic leagues.
“Yesterday was my final game as a professional footballer. I wanted to play in the Champions League, but it is the moment to leave,” said Van Nistelrooy. “I have arrived at my physical limit and I can’t play at the maximum level. I couldn’t have had a better send-off than this.

The club has been disappointed with this season’s results, performances and the general message these have sent to our fans.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has been named as part of new England manager Roy Hodgson’s coaching staff, the Football Association said on Monday.
Neville, who has impressed as a TV analyst since hanging up his boots, will join Ray Lewington and goalkeeping coaches Ray Clemence and Dave Watson at the European Championship that starts next month.
The FA said Neville, who won every domestic honour with United, played 85 times for England and featured at two World Cups, had agreed a four-year contract.
“Roy asking me to be a part of his staff and to work with the national team is not only an honour but a very special moment for me,” Neville said in a statement.

Manchester City ended 44 years of being regular thanks to Sergio Aguero’s stoppage time winner that secured the Premier League title in the waning moments of the final Prem league weekend. Trailing 2-1, Man City went from losers to winners in an amazing three minutes saving them the embarrassment of gagging away a season that they dominated almost from the start. They had their ups and down, they all make a ton of money, but I love watching stuff like this to see how these grown men are absolute giddy when they win something like its Christmas day and they are 11 years sold.
